It is very important to hire a good lawyer or a solicitor. He or she will guide you through the tedious and time consuming legal work. The legal work can be very confusing; hence taking their guidance is advised. Some agents and companies, selling properties, offer free legal consultation and work if you are buying property from them. But it is also advised to opt for an independent lawyer before taking any decision regarding buying property in turkey
Check the local property tax rates and the local rules and regulations before buying:
Local property tax is paid twice in a year, first one around the month of May and the final one in the month of November. You should visit the local municipality office to know the relevant rates and dates regarding local taxes. The tax is of course calculated in the basis of the value of the property you are buying. And there are different taxes for different area location of the property. For example in a metropolitan area the rates and taxes are, of course, higher. While outside the metro areas, it is considerably cheaper. 
Check for frauds:
It is a well-known fact that you can be cheater when you are about to a property. Since the amount of money involved is huge, it is advised to be very cautious before you are about to decide to buy properties in Turkey.
